The Marche region has the perfect recipe for an unforgettable cocktail. Art is undoubtedly the first ingredient shared by all its cities, distinguished by a millennia-old culture that has evolved over time into quality craftsmanship. The valleys and fortified cities house works by Raphael, Titian, and Piero della Francesca, as well as theaters and ceramics workshops. Urbino, a city enclosed by a castle, is the epitome of Marche art, with its cobbled streets and Ducal Palace, a delight for the heart. The second ingredient not to be forgotten is spirituality. We begin with the sanctuary of Loreto, home to the remains of the house of Jesus of Nazareth, to tell the story of a land of Popes and Saints, but above all of pilgrims who followed the pilgrimage routes and stayed in the many convents and abbeys scattered throughout the region. There are places of silence and meditation, perched on mountains or hillsides, but also cathedrals that are veritable museums. Two national parks, four regional parks, and six nature reserves. These are the naturalistic spices that flavor our drink and our region. Mountains and rolling hills, then gradually descending to the coast, which can be admired in all its splendor from the San Benedetto del Tronto seafront. The Marche region is an irresistible temptation for sports enthusiasts, who can go from skiing to rafting and then relax with a game of golf. But the luckiest are the caving enthusiasts, who can descend into the karst caves of Frassasi and admire the stunning natural sculptures created by stalactites and stalagmites. There you have it, our cocktail is finally ready, and now all you have to do is choose whether to enjoy it in the cool of a mountain hut or lounging on the golden beaches overlooking the Adriatic Sea: it's all a matter of perspective.
