City Plan 2025
The new edition, scheduled for September 12, 13, and 14, 2025, will be curated by the recently founded "Piano City Lecce" Social Promotion Association, composed of Salento musicians and artistic professionals who have already contributed to the success of previous editions of the festival (pianists Valeria Fasiello and Alessandra Gallo, philosopher and music critic Giacomo Fronzi, sociologist Milena Calogiuri). Andrea "Andro" Mariano of Negramaro, artistic director of the last three editions, will again be present.
During the festival, pianists from around the world will enliven the city's iconic venues with free concerts featuring classical, jazz, and pop sounds. This is an opportunity to rediscover, through music, Lecce's most beautiful locations, selected by architect Giorgia Rizzo in collaboration with public and private bodies, institutions, and local associations, including ArtWork Cultura and BTM Italia.
Three types of concerts are planned: street (in squares, streets, and open-air stages), city (in the city's classic and iconic landmarks or in the revitalization of industrial and suburban sites), and house (in city residences). Special attention will, as always, be given to young local talent, with an educational section and the involvement of music academies, middle schools and high schools specializing in music, conservatories, and universities.
