The sea surrounding Sardinia is this land's greatest asset and its greatest guardian, having preserved it over the centuries, allowing it to retain its wild and pure essence. The island is the ideal destination for those seeking Caribbean-like bathing, which you can also find by traveling beyond the crowded Costa Smeralda. The journey into this land's interior begins with its coastline, which varies from north to south. The northern part is characterized by pebble coves and high, slightly jagged cliffs; to the south, however, you can discover a quieter Sardinia, with golden sands and expanses of rose quartz. Every corner of this island is a paradise, such as the Maddalena archipelago with its clear waters and the Nattari lagoon, separated from the sea by a strip of sand that has become home to a few pink flamingos. Sardinia is also a land of unique archaeological sites: in the heart of the Supramonte lies the village of Tiscali, with approximately forty huts built on the rocks of Dulina, and in Nuraxi lies the largest and most fascinating Nuragic village on the island. Sardinia is a land of shepherds and genuine people who will lovingly tell you about their home; the only thing you should leave at home is your dictionary, because the Sardinians are unique in this too, in their dialect, which is classified as a true language. Speaking of shepherds: don't leave without visiting the Ispinigoli cave, once a shelter for flocks caught in the rain. The cave appears to have been sculpted, and around the undulating rocks are imposing columns, illuminated by plays of color and chiaroscuro. A trip to Sardinia is a true adventure: in this land detached from the mainland, you will find everything you need to regenerate, immersing yourself in the beautiful waters that characterize it or setting out to explore a land not entirely known.
